This authentic Hakka restaurant is really interesting. The red color represents the old Chinese styled of wedding celebration. Hakka is the Chinese clan that do the ore mining in those days. The food is nice and traditional, like home cooked food.

We settled for dinner at this hakka restaurant in ipoh which was within walking distance from our hotel. It turned out to be a very good decision. The interior design of the restaurant is very unique and has the joyous traditional chinese wedding theme which the boss said, was designed by his wife. The boss is super friendly even after we told him that we just order a few dishes in small size, as we aren’t exactly hungry. We ordered several of their signature dishes in small size and we loved it, devoured everything. Delicious! We also happened to bump into a famous chinese principal who flew down from KL to Ipoh for an alumni gathering, the restaurant hosted their alumni calligraphy gathering with an calligraphy event written by this chinese principal outside their restaurant and while we were expressing interest in their calligraphy and decor , the principal decided to gift us chinese tui lian with beautiful words of blessings! The boss also showed us the 2nd level of the restaurant which they intend to use to exhibit calligraphy and chinese paintings to preserve traditional chinese culture, super lovely chanced encounter! Very blessed!

Third time in this restaurant, very nice setup interior design, good place to hold gatherings and family dinner. Offer a variety of Hakka dishes and my family loves it very much. Recently they extended one more shop lot to cater for more customers. The boss is very friendly and helpful to assist you if you don't know what to order. Will be back again soon.

I’ve visited this restaurant countless times, and it has always been one of our family’s favourites. This time, we chose it to celebrate my grandma’s birthday and it was the perfect choice. The restaurant is known for its authentic Hakka dishes, and the food was delicious as always. The place also carries a warm, traditional Chinese wedding-themed décor, which felt very festive. Our grandma enjoyed the atmosphere so much…she was happy just looking around, and even happier eating her favourite dishes. A wonderful spot for family gatherings. Highly recommended!
